Plans done for bowling season
At this meeting final arrangements were made for next month’s big day.
Officers and officials from the other Associations will start arriving from 1pm with the unfurling of the flag taking place at 2pm sharp, when Michael Fahy will raise the flag to officially unveil the beginning of the 2013 bowling season, followed by a game of bowls at 2.15pm.

Hide AdAt around 4.30pm everyone will leave the green and head to the White Horse Hotel, Campsie for an official dinner which will be hosted by Mickey Fahy (President, NIPBA) and the Brooke Park Bowling Club, where invited guests will speak and with visitors including the Mayor of our City, Councillor Kevin Campbell and it has been confirmed that Brian Morton, President of the British Isles Bowls Council will be in attendance.
The General Purposes Management Committee from the NIPBA has made the commitment to stage all Provincial Cup Finals in the City of Culture with Brooke Park staging the Senior Piggott Cup Final on Saturday, June 15, at 2pm and the Junior Sutherland Cup Final on Friday, June 14, at 7pm whilst the City of Derry Bowling Club will stage the Junior Hyland Donaghy Cup Final on the same night.
This is a great opportunity for the people of our city to come out and support the Brooke Park Bowling Club in their hard earned efforts to bring all these to the city.
Congratulations should go to the Northern Ireland Provincial Bowling Association’s management committee who have committed so much to Brooke Park Bowling Club this year in Mickey Fahy’s Presidential Year.
