Premiership giants behind charity event
Already there has been tremendous interest in the event which will be held after Christmas following the first annual Christopher Hendrie Memorial match which will be played at the Riada Stadium on Wednesday 26th November with a 7.30pm kick-off.
Organiser Mervyn McIntyre was delighted to receive an email from Old Trafford and he commented: “It’s not everyday you get an email from Manchester United, we are delighted they are sending us something to auction, it means a great deal to everyone involved.”

Hide AdWishing the organising committee the best of luck for their fundraiser, a spokesman for Manchester United said that a signed football will be despatched to the club prior to the event.
Christopher Hendrie passed away at the end of last month at the age of 30 after a short battle against cancer.
An avid football fan, Chrissy played for his local team Riada FC and just like his close family, the team and their manager, Mervyn ‘Tubes’ McIntyre, were deeply affected by the loss of this special young man who had played for the club since he was 16.
A group of club members decided to organise a special match at the Joey Dunlop Centre on Wednesday to take place in memory of Christopher with all proceeds going to his wife Gillian to help make Christmas a special time for their two children.
