Over one hundred cars were reported stolen in Londonderry during the past financial year excluding March, the Sentinel has learned.

After Belfast, where 607 cars were reported stolen, Londonderry had the second highest total in Northern Ireland. Between April 1, 2013, and February 28, 2014, 117 cars were stolen here.

That’s eight per cent of the 1,529 cars, which were reported stolen province-wide. In Limavady there were 14 stolen cars, whilst in Strabane there were 19.
