Students continue to show improvement
Staff and students were delighted with the overall performances which saw the number of students achieving five A* to C grades, including English and Maths, rise by 13%.
In congratulating staff and students on their performance, Principal Gerard Adams stated that the rise in levels of achievement was a result of much hard work on the part of students but also a reflection of the strategies for improvement adopted over the past two years.

“It is a great pleasure to see that coming to fruition and to share in the joy of our students in celebrating their successes.”
Mr Adams also pointed out that, with very few students not returning, places for applicants from other schools who wish to study A-Levels in St Michael’s would be very limited.
Students who achieved a range of top grades were Kevin Aldridge, Eimear Casey, Joshua Casey, Meabh Dummigan, Paul Furey, Shannon Hall, Ronan Kearney, Adam Kelly, Lauren Magee, Chloe Magill, Fiona Mallon, Alex McCabe, Emma McCann, Anton McConville, Conor McConville, Bridin McDaid, Megan McMahon, Melissa McParland, Patrick Moore, Matthew Mulholland, Brian Perry, Orlagh Shanks, Ailis Stevenson, Joseph Toman, Conall Towe, Jason Bunting and Aoife Kane.
