Self-check in kiosks at Craigavon hospital
The Kiosks have been installed in the Outpatients and ante-natal departments at both Craigavon Hospital and Daisy Hill, as well as the Ramone Building in Craigavon.
Anita Carroll, Southern Trust Assistant Director of Acute Services, said patients are certainly seeing the benefits:

Hide Ad“This new technology has helped reduce the time patients have to wait to book in for their appointment as they won’t have to queue to see a receptionist.
“These kiosks are very straightforward to use – patients are asked to confirm their gender and date of birth and the system will then ask them to confirm more details prior to booking in.
“The kiosks are also equipped with built-in printers, which will print off a ticket with the patient’s call number, appointment time and location and receptionists are still on hand if you need any further help.
“The new booking system also includes a range of different language versions including - Polish, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Russian, Latvian and Slovak to ensure as many people as possible can use the kiosks.”

Hide Ad“We are hoping to add more devices to both hospitals in the coming months and provide them at our facilities in other areas including Armagh, Dungannon and Banbridge”.
The kiosks supplement reception desks at the hospitals, so those unsure or wary of using the new technology can book in at the desk if they prefer and a receptionist will be happy to help.
