Search launched for North West Pensioner of the Year
Launched by Older People North West (Age Concern Derry), the organisation considers the it essential that older people are made to feel that they are vital facets of that society and their opinions are valued, and the Pensioner of the Year Award is one practical way that Older People North West, seeks to promote and foster a positive image of older age and to discourage the stereotyping of older people.
Members of the public are urged to participate and nominate an older person for this award.

Hide AdTo nominate simply request a nomination form from Age Concern Derry, Malvern House, Chapel Road, Londonderry, and provide details of the nominee and the reason why you feel they are worthy of this prestigious award. To qualify the nominee must be over 60 years and living in the Derry City Council Area. Nominations can be made by organisations, groups or individuals. Completed nomination forms must be returned by 1pm on Friday, November 22.
Each nomination received is very carefully analysed and assessed by an independent panel of judges with no association with the organisation promoting the event.
