Returned for trial on charges of handling stolen sheep and goats
Christopher Potts (20), High Street, Gilford, appeared last Thursday at a preliminary inquiry at Newry courthouse.
He is charged with the theft of 38 ewes between January 8 and January 10 last year. It is also alleged that on December 11 last year he handled stolen goods, namely seven lambs, and there are four further handling charges involving two goats on December 17, 12 ewes on January 9 last year, a purse and keys belonging to a female on January 15 and a bank card belonging to a male on the same date.

Hide AdPotts is charged that he converted criminal property, six lambs, on December 11, 2014, and he faces three counts of possession of criminal property on December 11 and December 17, 2014, and January 9, 2015.
Potts is accused that on January 15, 2015, he had in his possession ear tags for use in the course or in connection with a fraud.
He is charged with possession of ammunition, 200 rounds of .22 ammunition, without being the holder of a firearm certificate.
Potts was remanded on his own bail of £500 to appear for arraignment at Newry Crown Court on April 19.
