DUP MP David Simpson said: “It is estimated that it will cost thousands of pounds to rectify the damage carried out by the vandals.
“Unfortunately this will cost the school dearly using monies that could have been spent on equipment for young people with special needs.”

Hide AdSinn Fein Cllr Johnny McGibbon said: “The community will be shocked and angered to hear of this attack upon Ceara School. The delinquents responsible started up and used heavy plant machinery from the site during their rampage and in doing so put themselves and others at grave risk.”
“This is totally unacceptable behaviour and those responsible must be brought to book. Ceara School does excellent work for young people in our community and our thoughts and support go to all the students, parents and staff who now have to contend with the outcome of this mindless act.”
Ulster Unionist MLA Jo-Anne Dobson said she was ‘outraged and appalled’. “The staff at the school care, nurture and educate terrific children and I know so many of the parents who have placed their most precious asset in their care.
“I cannot comprehend the mindless hooligans who would damage a school which does fantastic work with those in the most need.”
