Maghera runner finishes London marathon in 2hrs 43mins
Aaron Meharg from Maghera was the first of the Acorns AC team to cross the line of the London marathon after a fantastic run, which earned him a superb personal best of 2hrs 43mins.
Hugh Hampsey also had an excellent run when he broke the 4 hour marker in 3 hours 54mins.
The ladies performed fantastically well and it was Sandra Mayne who was first of them to finish in 3:57. Wendy Walker was in top form as well and crossed the finish in 4:20 with Natasha Henry not far behind her and a superb finish time of 4:30.
Elaine Hargan rounded up the team results with a brilliant performance crossing the finish in 4:45.
A tremendous achievement for this group of individuals after months of hard training.
