Health and Wellbeing Fair from Sure Start
The Fair was open to all local parents who lived in a Sure Start area with roughly 50 mums, dads, grannies and children in attendance.
Surestart provided families with information on all sorts of topics, antenatal, postnatal, parenting programmes, speech and language support, play and breastfeeding.

Halfords gave parents information on the new car seat legislation, Home Safety Officer David Adams from Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council offered parents free blind safety clips, Tesco gave out a variety of snacks and Smyth’s Baby Needs gave advice on latest prams on the market.
Many other organisations were on hand to give guidance on mental health, debt advice, eye health and food banks.
The little ones got the opportunity to experience an example of Sure Start’s play activities that happen in their weekly programmes and home visits; a sensory starry lit dark den, homemade pasta music maker and a reading time comfy area.
