Girl hit by car on 'dark winter's night'
Mary Margaret Joanne McGivern (24), of Carnduff Road, was given three penalty points and fined 200 for driving without due care and attention on November 30 last year at Whitepark Road near Ballycastle.
A prosecutor said police spoke to the defendant and she said she was earlier involved in a road traffic collision on the Whitepark Road earlier when she heard a "thud" as she drove along.

She said she did not report the accident immediately because she did not have a mobile phone with her and there was a car driving behind her.
It turned out the girl had a hairline fracture to her arm, the court was told.
A defence solicitor said it was a dark winter's night and the injured girl was walking along the road and after hearing a bang McGivern was unable to get stopped there and then.
But, the solicitor added, she returned and brought the girl back home to her mother and the girl said she had a sore arm and it was only later it transpired it was a hairline fracture.
