Prosecution counsel said on April 16 at Molesworth Street, police suspected Watterson to be under the influence of drink or drugs and when they approached him he reacted aggressively and was arrested.
He said on May 2, shortly before 7pm in the Burnvale area in the town, police responded to a report of Watterson and another male shouting “touting b*****d” at a property owner.
Counsel said the defendant threw a drinks can, which came off the car window, but caused no damage.
