Project to tackle anti-social behaviour in Waterside area
The report, produced by Town Centre Manager, Julienne Elliott, is being used by police to identify areas of concern within the grounds of County Hall where most young people congregate in the Waterside.
Speaking at a meeting of the District Policing Partnership last Monday night, Coleraine’s most senior officer, Chief Inspector Nicky Thompson, said the issues of anti-social drinking and anti-social behaviour in County Hall’s extensive grounds, had been raised by communities in that area for quite some considerable time.

Reporting directly to the Chief Inspector, Community officer, Sergeant Craig, has already organised joint initiative work on the problems and arranged meetings with Town Centre Managers and Officials From County Hall.
He concluded: “It is hoped that this project will find a solution to this long standing problem.”
