Illegal rave broken up by police

The event, at a Multi Use Gaming Area (MUGA) in Portadown, left the surface damaged.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Council is again faced with a cleaning cost for Churchill Park’s Multi Use Gaming Area (MUGA) in Portadown due last night’s anti-social behaviour.

Hide Ad“Portadown Neighbourhood Police were called to the area to a report of a rave taking place.
“On arrival. upwards of thirty youths quickly left the MUGA and on inspection, it is again in a poor state with broken bottles and alcohol cans strewn all around it.
“To the parents of these children in the area, Covid restrictions are still in place - everyone is advised to stay at home - even children.
“Essential exercise does not mean allowing your children out to gather in crowds, drink alcohol and play loud music in built up areas.”
