Arrest after armed robbery at NI bar/restaurant

A man is due in court today (Friday) after an armed robbery at a NI bar/restaurant.

Police said two men, one armed with tongs and the other a hurley stick, entered the premises in Co Armagh at around 8.45pm on Wednesday evening (September 30).

The incident happened at the Stables Bar and Restaurant in Lurgan’s Old Portadown Road.

One of the men was wearing a camouflage jacket with hood up, dark face covering and grey tracksuit bottoms carrying a set of tongs.
