Hide AdNorthlands Sinn Féin Councillor and member of the local District Policing Partnersip Maeve McLaughlin condemned those responsible.
She commented: “I condemn outright those who left this device at a home in the Kinnego Park area of Foyle Springs this morning.
“This must have been a very frightening experience for this family. No ones home, car should be targeted in this way.
“We have now upwards of twenty families being forced out of their homes. This is a very upsetting situation for many local residents.
“It is obvious that the people behind leaving such devices are out of touch with the will of the vast majority of the people of Derry who want to move forward without this type of disruption.”
